The base units I am testing are 2 & 3 TB in capacity. Attaching them to an existing work group or domain network is a simple process as is setting up basic storage space or basic file sharing. The performance is adequate for most home or micro level business uses.
The issue I am facing is the absolute back end disaster of the Toshiba software claiming that updates are needed, but every time updates are run they fail. I have searched the Toshiba support forums looking for a manual download of the updated software to no avail. Please provide an a download option so those of us competent to do so can actually upgrade the firmware/software ourselves.

Setup was a breeze, installed software and started uploading files. Although not really using the software, I just set up the shared folders and utilizing it as intended (NAS). Downloaded the IOS app, connected, and streaming photos and music with no problems.

I want to backup my computer....28 hours per the interface then timed out with error...So I then think well I will just back up the important files and start to back them up one at a time. Well documents don't stay in the folders and get dumped nilly willy every place...which is useless when you have 100's of thousands of documents!! They need to stay in their folders or they can never ever be found again. At some point it appears all of the documents got duplicated on my computer hard drive and now I a total mess......NOT WORTH A DIME with the interface it has...

I just took it out of the box. Followed the instructions and 36 hours later--it is still back up.!!!!!
